Recently, I moved to Minneapolis, MN and have been loving the area. My brother and his fiancé have lived here for a while, so they've been able to show me their favorite spots and I've really enjoyed settling in to the new neighborhood.
About 2 years ago, I moved out to Las Cruces, New Mexico, and I spent a good amount of time sweating a lot and eating great food. Growing up in Maine, I always assumed the farthest I would ever get from Maine would be Massachusetts, but I love the region and it's fantastic learning about a whole new area and culture. The winters here are definitely more toned-down than back in Maine which has been nice in some ways, but I'm excited to see snow again next year. I've been following a lot of tutorials on Java, Ruby, Performance Engineering, etc. and am trying to follow my passions to find what to learn next!
I love to tinker with old tech and programming languages. From tearing apart an old VCR, creating mods for video games, to learning COBOL at 3:30AM; I have eclectic passions and love exploring them.
I am hoping to find a job that brings me joy and fulfillment and promotes a healthy work/life balance. In the next few years, I hope to be working on exciting and forward-thinking projects at a company that I love working at, and coming home to a family to cook some risotto or bake some chocolate chip cookies.
I am currently looking for in-person positions in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, and remote opportunities in the US.
